Reflective perspective in an oversaturated world - The authentic style of emerging Canadian artist Plastic Jague resonates in his debut album “Skyvolism”

Music aficionados and audiences in general will be drawn in to the captivating vibe and melodious sound of emerging artist Plastic Jague showcased throughout his debut album “Skyvolism” that launched today, Friday, July 21, 2023.
With his 12-song debut album, Plastic Jague, who hails from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, is opening up to share his authentic reflections and unique style with the world in hopes that others may find connection to the themes and pulse of his music.
The album “Skyvolism” offers an alternative electronic sound that organically blends in flavours of rock, trap, industrial, and a hint of heavy. The result is a compelling mix of songs featuring fast-moving bass, punchy percussion, as well as chill and enchanting melodies.
Set to his original compositions are honest feelings and perspectives that are conveyed through his lyrics. Songs like “Press 7” and the namesake “Skyvolism” will bring you to embrace raw emotions that are too often suppressed. Up-tempo songs like “Drinki” and “RPM” will empower your unique spirit as you drum to the rhythm. While mesmerizing ballads like “Follow” and “Set Apart” will reach your heart, as raw love might be.
“Music has been my own outlet for years, essentially my own melodic feelings and thoughts” says Plastic Jague. “This collection of songs is like a few pages of my life journal. If sharing my music can reach others and make someone else feel connected, that’s why I’m excited to be releasing this album.”
The album “Skyvolism” is entirely original and all the music is created, composed, written, played, recorded, sung, and produced by the artist Plastic Jague. From the beats to the vocals and all of the production, his musicality, creativity, and versatile talent shines through in every note.
“I hope this human imperfection complements the tone and style of my work,” he says. "In this overly polished world, I know I'm not the only one who's not perfect, and I invite everyone to cherish who we are."

Plastic Jague brings an appealing organic electronic sound that will pull you in with its captivating melodies and honest emotion. Inspired by a deep passion for creating and experimenting, his style carries flavours of rock, alternative, electronic, trap, and a hint of heavy that is showcased through fast-moving bass, punchy drums, as well as slow and enchanting tunes. His music is entirely self-created, composed, written, played, recorded, sung, and produced. This human imperfection complements the tone and theme of his work, which grips you with its authentic reflections on the world in which we live.
Born in 1994 in Gatineau, Quebec, Plastic Jague (born Jean-Luc Charron) grew up with a deep passion for music, especially for heavy metal and rock music. He started playing drums early on in his career and formed the band "Myocarde", which was an alternative trance/house duo, alongside of being part of other heavy metal projects as a drummer. After this, he started experimenting with electric guitars and synthesizers and began creating his own music, combining a mix of heavy metal, trap, EDM, industrial rock and other genres together. Plastic Jague sings about his own perceptions of life and life events, in an intriguing but implicit way, leaving room for interpretation. His music reflects his versatility as a musician and an artist, and his creativity and passion for trying new things, playing instruments, and channeling feelings through melodies and beats.
